The bed frame has a height of 24 cm -> Top edge of bed frame is 44 cm.
Insertion depth for the slatted frame is approx. 15 cm
Headboard has a height of approx. 70 cm -> approx. 90 cm high from the ground
There are no supports under the bed -> plenty of space between the runners, for example to store baskets or something similar.
The outside width is always approx. 9 cm wider than the actual dimension selected…. This means that a 140×200 cm bed has external dimensions of 149×209 cm
The 160,180,200 cm variant has a central strut inserted in the middle so that 2 slatted frames can be inserted if necessary
The bed comes mostly pre-assembled so that only the 2 side panels, headboard and footboard have to be screwed together with the corner connectors on site. (everything is pre-drilled and assembly material/instructions are included)
Assembly takes about 20-30 minutes for two people.
The natural edge is brushed and lightly sanded so that it retains its natural character. We seal larger knotholes, natural cracks and unevenness with very dark, black epoxy resin. We treat smaller knotholes, cracks and dried out wormholes on the surface with wax. In terms of quality, there is no need to completely fill every little bump or dried out wormhole. This is especially true for the underside. The surface is then sanded flat and oiled so that you can use your solid wood panel immediately after delivery.
Evenness and tolerance
Wood is a living material and works. Light and temperature work before, during and after production. We strive to keep the surfaces level and work with millimeter precision. We have very good tools and high-quality machines, as well as qualified and talented staff. Nevertheless, we allow a tolerance of up to 3 mm, sometimes even a little more. Especially tall lengths of benches, tables and washbasins cannot and cannot be kept and manufactured 100% flat. Slight imperfections are in the nature of things and have their own charm. You may get 100% flatness with plywood or solid wood elements that are glued together from many smaller pieces (glued wood panels with slat widths of 3-5 cm). However, since we work with long and 20 to 40 cm wide, very natural planks, this is not the case. We also allow a few millimeters of tolerance when it comes to flatness.

Care
For optimal care of your solid wood bed frame oak, you can purchase a suitable care set. The recommended semi-annual re-oiling and minor repairs can easily be carried out yourself. The care set consists of a bottle of hard wax oil, hand sandpaper, a soft wax bar including a spatula and a cotton cloth for applying/wiping off the oil. Origin of our woods
We source our oak wood exclusively from controlled forestry in Lower Saxony, Brandenburg and Bavaria.
We are also committed to reforestation and have already planted 130 oak trees this year and there are more to come.
