Washbasin Natural Edge Floating Solid Frame

Further product informations

Washbasin Natural edge Floating Solid.
The natural edge is brushed and lightly sanded so that it retains its natural character. Larger knotholes, natural cracks and unevenness are sealed with a very dark, black epoxy resin. Smaller knotholes, cracks and dried wormholes are treated with wax on the surface. In terms of quality, there is no need to completely fill up every little unevenness or dried wormhole. This is especially true for the underside. The surface is then sanded flat and oiled so that you can use your solid wood panel immediately after delivery.

Design

If you do not specify a special request, the 2 side edges and the wall side are straight. For the front or visible edge, you can choose between a straight edge, a plain natural edge and a curved (rustic) natural edge. Due to the natural edge, a deviation of 5 cm in depth is to be expected. This means that if you order a washbasin with 80×40 cm, for example, the depth of the washbasin top will actually be between 40 and 45 cm at the bottom of the tree edge. However, if you choose the straight edge, the vanity top will be made exactly to the depth you ordered.
Note: If you choose to add towel rails, please note that the towel rails will widen the washbasin by approx. 9 cm to the left, right or both sides.

Drillings drain/fittings

If you have chosen the option drilling for drain/fittings or cut-out according to sketch, please send us a hand sketch or the necessary positions and dimensions to [email protected] after purchase, quoting your order number. Please note that the centre of the hole for the fitting must be at least 7 cm from the rear edge or side edge of the washbasin plate due to the 4 cm wide steel frame.

Flatness and tolerance

Wood is a living material and works. Light and temperature have an effect before, during and after production. We strive to keep the surfaces flat and work to millimetre precision. We have very good tools and high-quality machines, as well as qualified and talented staff. Nevertheless, we allow a tolerance of up to 3 mm, sometimes even a little more. Especially high lengths of benches, tables, as well as washstands, are and cannot be kept and manufactured 100 % even. Slight unevenness is in the nature of things and has its own charm. You may achieve 100 % evenness with plywood or solid wood elements that are glued together from many smaller pieces (glued wood panels with lamella widths of 3-5 cm). However, since we work with long and 20 to 40 cm wide planks that are kept very natural, this is not the case. We also allow a few millimetres of tolerance in terms of flatness.

Origin of our woods

We obtain our oak wood exclusively from controlled forestry in Lower Saxony, Brandenburg and Bavaria.
We are also committed to reforestation and have already planted 130 oaks this year, with more to come.
Timber from Eastern European or non-European overexploitation does not stand a chance with us!
Please read more about this on our values page.
